VC Ecosystems and Bootstrappers
VCs have started to form coalitions of companies where they support, buy, and promote each other.
They also entered organic marketing and buying influencers like hotcakes. Many of the big accounts we follow are probably already sold.
If you pay attention, you see posts promoting VC-funded products by a network of accounts.
They dominate everywhere. It is hard for small and starting bootstrappers to compete with companies from such ecosystems. If such a company enters your niche, you might be done quickly.
But people with Bootstrapper’s Mind rarely game systems and expect everything, including supporting each other, to be earned the fair way. Correct me if I am wrong.
Should there be an analogy of such ecosystems for bootstrappers? Or should bootstrappers keep going the hard way as it was always supposed to be?
