A few notes after talking to John Rush and Pascal Levy-Garboua
I was lucky to have an opportunity to talk with John and Pascal. I am super grateful to Pascal for organizing the event and to John for coming and sharing his ideas.
It was a mastermind/brainstorm on the problems/questions I have with my product and in general in my entrepreneurial journey.
It was super productive for me, and I want to document a few ideas from the meeting.
Social media content strategy
There shouldnât be any shame if I start promoting use cases and build interesting and cool stuff people could use and benefit from, especially if they can use my product.
For example, donât talk about my screenshot API, but talk about AI agents and how they can use it. That would benefit my readers, my product, and myself.
One product versus many products
John shared that he loves to suffer. For him, having multiple products is a nice adventure. He loves when something happens every day.
But for most people, he suggested it would be better to focus on one product rather than on many.
He thinks I am the type of person who would enjoy building one product.
I donât know if it is true, but I do enjoy working on one product and polishing it.
Post-Money Meaning
Once you reach a certain level of revenue, money doesnât make sense anymore.
John suggested that focusing on making the best product can be a long journey and might be a more interesting goal to pursue than just money milestones.
That one resonates with me, especially since I have been focused recently on my customersâ happiness.
Short-term outlook on AI
AI has too much hype. The economy wonât see a huge impact, but small entrepreneurs and software engineering companies will benefit a lot from adapting and integrating AI.
Summary
I am energized now as never before and ready to tackle new heights.
