Company Of One: Why Staying Small Is the Next Big Thing for Business
One of the best business books I have read recently.
The book is for building a mindset on how to build a resilient business that is focused on making your customers happy, surviving long-term, and living your life the way you want.
A few notes:
- Stay small. Scaling endlessly might kill your business quickly and there is a ton of examples like that in history.
- Question growth. Growth should your goals, not to become a target in itself.
- Resilience through simplicity. A leaner business is easier to survive long-term.
- Focus on relationships and making your customers happy.Be helpful. Retention compounds quickly.
- Write down your own dentition of success. True success means having control over your time, what you want to create, and having enough of financial freedom to allow all that—not chasing external metrics, external or investor validation.
Enjoy the book!
